Geir Inge Lotsbergwas born in 1969 andgrew up in Elverum. He studied with Leif Jørgensen in Oslo, Sandor Vegh in Salzburg, Ana Chumacenco in Munich and Camilla Wicks in the U.S.A. Lotsberg is presently teaching the violin at the Barratt Due Institute of Music in Oslo. As a soloist he has appeared with all the major symphony orchestras in Norway. He gave his debut-recital in Oslo in 1996 presenting an all Carl Nielsen recital. His CD releases consists of the three Grieg sonatas, the complete violin-keyboard sonatas by Bach (BWV 1014-19), the sonatas and solo-works by Carl Nielsen and most recently a solo-violin cd with contemporary works by norwegian composers.
